The record for 69kg men (10st 8lb) had stood for 14 years

It really shouldn't be possible for a man to lift two-and-a-half times his own body weight straight over his head but today, at the World Weightlifting Championships, China's Liao Hui did just that. The 2008 Olympic champion broke a 14-year record for the snatch lift in his weight class by lifting 166kg (26 st 2lbs) over his head in the snatch lift. Hat-tip to Eurosport for the video
