Ireland’s greatest adventure race is returning to Killarney

Mikey Stafford

Did you miss out on testing yourself back in March? Still want to scratch that itch?

The last time the Quest Adventure Race came to Killarney it was over-subscribed well in advance, leaving many would-be racers disappointed.

Well it is back, baby!

That’s right, those of you with an inclination to run, cycle and kayak around Killarney National Park will have another opportunity to test yourselves to the limit on Saturday, October 1st.

Ranging in difficulty from the 70-kilometre ‘expert’ race to a more manageable 27-km ‘sport’ challenge, this is your opportunity to prove your mettle in one of the most scenic spots in Ireland.

The world-renowned Quest Adventure Race series has also been successfully hosted in Glendalough and Achill Island this year and is proving a big hit with those of you out there looking for something more than a marathon or triathlon can offer.

There is no point in pretending it won’t be tough. But when is anything worth doing ever easy?

What pain can even come close to matching the feeling of achievement when you take on a challenge like KILLARNEY NATIONAL PARK and triumph. Especially when there are medals, hot food, hot tubs, massages and live entertainment awaiting you at the finish line.

If this sounds like your kind of Saturday then you are in luck because registration is currently open for the final Quest Adventure Series of the year. But hurry, registration closes this Friday 16th, and there are only a couple of places left.
