After deciding to don a pair of skis and take on an abandoned 364-foot ramp in Michigan, the multiple-times-X Games medallist appeared at ease as he landed his first few jumps.
Pushing the boundaries, Carlson later decides to jump off the 'Copper Peak' backwards.
After a dodgy landing, Carlson's skis are ripped off and he finds himself tumbling down the slope, trying desperately to avoid the metal posts that jut out of the snow on each side of him.
Fortunately, he comes to a stop. Lucky escape.
