WATCH: Potential career-ending cheap shot sparks mass NFL brawl

"I've never had a player try to end my career before"

He knew exactly what he was doing here.

The Tennessee Titans secured a narrow 13-10 home victory over reigning Super Bowl champions, the Denver Broncos.

The win is a massive boost to the Titans’ playoff hopes as they now go 7-6 for the season and joint level at the top of AFC South with the Houston Texans.

The victory however, will be remembered for a sickening cheap shot in the first half.

Denver Broncos cornerback, Chris Harris Jr., said after the game, “I’ve never had a player try to end my career before.”

Harris was standing away from the main play when Harry Douglas of the Tennessee Titans drove head first at his knee.

Unbelievably, in a sport where every play and incident is constantly being reviewed by officials ‘upstairs’, Douglas wasn’t even flagged for the incident.

Harris was lucky not to suffer a career-ending injury here. As you can see in the video, he just moved his right leg from the planted position before Douglas charges into him.

Harris actually suffered a torn ACL in his left knee back in 2013.

Payback was clearly on the mind of the Bronco’s players as in the very next play, Bronco’s cornerback Aqib Talib confronted Douglas which led to some pushing and shoving and the inevitable mass brawl.

Thankfully, Harris returned to the game and was able to complete the second half.

It will be interesting to see what the fallout will be in the aftermath of this incident as it is these types of shots which often put people off American Football.
