"Hey, somebody has run out onto the field. Some goofball in a hat."

They don't make commentators like they do in America. It's not ex footballers, it's not famous personalities that come through. It's people who have dedicated their careers to studying the industry, practicing their trade, perfecting their performances. Kevin Harlan is different gravy. During the 49ers' rout of the Rams on Monday night - 28-0 that game finished - a pitch-invader from San Francisco threatened to steal the show. Not one to miss the real story, MNF commentator Harlan sprang to life to call every movement of the Idiot On The Field, as he's being affectionately labelled across the pond.
"He takes off the shirt! He's running down the middle by the 50. Now he's at the 30. "He's bare-chested, banging his chest, now he runs the opposite way. He runs to the 50, he runs to the 40, the guy is drunk!"
https://twitter.com/dkurtenbach/status/775562761543688193 It is a priceless piece of commentary. It's a hall of fame piece of commentary. We have pretty decent ones in Ireland too in fairness. Remember the greatest comeback of all time? It was accompanied with some of the finest calling of the action. "UCC from the depths of hell!"
