Manu Ginobili was involved in a strange situation during the San Antonia Spurs' NBA clash against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the weekend. He was fouled by a Timberwolves player on his way to making a basket before being on the receiving end of some unsportsmanlike conduct from the official.
The referee threw the ball to him without warning as he waited at the free-throw line. However, Ginobili was too busy trying to catch his breath and compose himself and he got a smack in the face for his troubles.
The official strolled over to the player with his hands up to apologise for the misunderstanding but Ginobili was not impressed. He decided the best course of action was to call the ref up on a technical for the foul.
