The story of Devon Still’s four-year-old daughter Leah has been a touching part of the Cincinnati Bengals season.
Leah Still was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and while she has already had surgery to remove a tumour, she still faces a long period of difficult treatments to beat the disease.
Her father Devon is a defensive tackle for the Bengals and last night his daughter came to see him play for the first time, against the Cleveland Browns.
At half-time, Leah Still was brought out onto the field, introduced to the crowd to a huge ovation and a ceremony took place where $1.3million was presented to a local hospital in her name the following the team’s money-raising efforts.
As the ceremony took place, the Browns QB Brian Hoyer sought out Devon Still and gave him a huge, a fine gesture at what must have been an emotional moment for Still.
