The idea of tennis matches being stuffy affairs in which any noise is met with hundreds of scowls and tuts has been turned on its head.
All because a tennis linesman was hit with a ball on his. Schadenfreude abounded when Australia's Nick Kyrgios accidentally directed a ball onto the noggin of an official during his 6-0, 6-2, 7-6 victory over Diego Schwartzman today.

But it wasn't all fun and games for the world number 29 as, after a line call went against him, he refused to continue playing before eventually restarting.
And the 20-year-old also came under flak for shouting "dirty scum" during the match but he claims he was yelling it in frustration at himself rather than directing it at any official.
