Video: Watch as Seattle fans go through the horror of that last minute Super Bowl interception

From joy to despair in a matter of moments

These fans neatly sum up the roller-coaster ride that was last night’s Super Bowl.

It was a case of agony, ecstasy, more agony and then anger for Seattle Seahawks fans as they watched their team come tantalisingly close to a second successive NFL title.

As Super Bowl XLIX entered its final stages, the defending champions needed a touchdown to overturn a four-point deficit to the New England Patriots, and just when all seemed lost, a miracle catch by receiver Jermaine Kearse sparked a moribund gathering into life.

Chanting ‘Beast Mode’ for running back Marshawn Lynch, the group were left stunned when a Russell Wilson pass was picked off at the goalline to hand the Pats victory.

And they were not happy about it (NSFW warning)

You can endure the full 10-minutes of the video that covers the whole game or, if you prefer, you can skip right to the killer interception at the 8.00 minute mark.
