You can take the men out of Ireland

There may have been some beverages involved.

It’s high summer and we’re yet to see any sight high-up or low-down of a GAA jersey at Wimbledon.

There’s wasn’t a splash of Cavan blue, or Cork red at the Women’s World Cup either.

What’s going on?

Thankfully at least two lads in America are holding up one of the GAA’s finest traditions of photobombing major sporting events by bringing a bit of Irish linguistic chicanery to a Major League Baseball game last night.

Two buckos wearing Tipperary and Donegal jersey’s got the A-star treatment from legendary Fox Sports reporter Jim Knox at a Texas Rangers game last night.

The home side were facing the L.A Angels when Knox found the two rogues in the crowd, and promptly began to ask them their thoughts on the American version of hurling. It went exactly how you would expect.

Two video clips have been taken down in the past few hours so you will have to settle for this brief GIF of the duo in action.

GAA fans

If anyone knows who the two lads are we’d love to give them full credit for the brilliant analysis of the ‘ball game,’ after the match ended in a home defeat for the Rangers 12-6.
