This is a great initiative

As part of the NFL’s No More campaign, they are planning to run a 60-second commercial during the Super Bowl that will really make people sit up and take notice.

The organisation has been criticised this year for its handling of domestic violence cases following footage appeared to show former Baltimore Ravens running back, Ray Rice, attacking his then-fiancee Janay Palmer last year.

But the NFL’s No More campaign is aiming to put a stop to such violence by raising awareness and they’ll do that on Sunday night, too.

In the first ever Super Bowl ad to address domestic violence and sexual assault, the No More production features a chilling real-life phone call of a woman ringing 911 from the house and disguising it as a pizza-order.

Eventually, the operator catches on to her subtle call for help but the audio – which runs over images of an empty home where a scuffle looks to have occurred – is frightening.
