Stephen Curry might have heard some of those people saying the Golden State Warriors' title run last year was 'lucky'.
The NBA's reigning MVP is off to an absolutely flying start to the new season, apparently intent on proving that last year's triumph was no fluke at all.
After putting 40 points on the New Orleans Pelicans on opening night, Curry was back at work against the same opposition last night, dropping the league's first half century of the season with a 53-point tally that included a third quarter in which he outscored the Pelicans 28-26 by himself.
The haul eight trademark three-pointers and some typically mesmerising ball-handling to lead the Warriors to a 134-120 victory.
