We all love seeing youngsters exhibit some passion for their sport but this might have gone a little too far.
It all kicked off in a junior varsity game between the Griffith Panthers and the Hammond Wildcats after the Panthers' Anthony Murphy was sent flying against a wall by Tim Echles.
Fans, including adults, poured onto the court as both teams' players clashed under the hoop in a full-blown melee.
The fight had started and was broken up in the space of 90 seconds before the announcer revealed that the officials had cancelled the game on account of the violence.
"You can't take a shot at a kid like that," Griffith coach Gary Hayes told NWITimes. "Somebody's going to get hurt real bad."
