Tensions erupted pretty early at Safeco Field, Seattle, last night as the Mariners hosted New York’s Yankees.

With the scores tied at 0-0 at the top of the third, home catcher Mike Zunnino was miffed with some of the pitching calls made by the umpires.

Zunnino was on the verge of getting ejected when Lloyd McClendon, his coach, threw himself under the bus by roaring onto the diamond and having a pop off any umpire he could get his hands on.

Two minutes later, when the dust had settled and the blood had, somewhat, cooled, McClendon stomped off to a standing ovation from Mariners fans.
