The Super Bowl 50 half time show evoked a very mixed reaction from the internet

Conan Doherty

It was alright.

It must’ve been special if people were arguing about it at least.

Chris Martin, Bruno Mars, Mark Ronson and Beyoncé took centre stage at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday evening in San Francisco for that old half time nonsense.

More people around the world seemed more interested than the concert than they did about the biggest game in American sport and, as per usual, the events sparked a reaction.

Piers Morgan summed up his thoughts in two words.

Beyoncé is life. Or something to that effect.

We were more impressed with the hurry-the-feck-up-and-clear-this show.

This is playing with fire.

Asstime. Genius.

A better idea.

They don’t do half times like they used to.

Is there anything to be said for another mass.

The sad truth.
