Nike made a laughable amount of money on LeBron James’ shoes just by getting him to move home

There’s no money to be made in shoes.

Especially not Nike shoes. But especially not LeBron James’ shoes.

The amount of dollars generated from one man’s footwear will have you sick to the stomach and wondering just what the hell you are doing with your own life.

Because LeBron James is rolling in it.

CLEVELAND, OH - JUNE 16: LeBron James #23 of the Cleveland Cavaliers reacts in the third quarter against the Golden State Warriors during Game Six of the 2015 NBA Finals at Quicken Loans Arena on June 16, 2015 in Cleveland, Ohio. He may have missed out on an NBA championship with Cleveland but the move back to the Cavaliers wasn’t all that horrific for him, considering the money it helped make Nike.

A report on Cleveland.com showed that, since James’ homecoming, sales for his signature shoe stood at $340m – and that was back in March before the playoffs – over a 12-month period.

$340m!

BUZZ

James’ return back to the Cavs helped a rise of 13 per cent for his shoes and they said there was no place for good marketing in this world either.

Campaigns like this spine-tingling video helped bring in the green. And now they can pat themselves on the back for a job well done.

The dirty feckers.
