Marshawn Lynch opens up ahead of Super Bowl and Katie Perry handles inane questions like an NFL pro

Super Bowl is nearly here

The man nicknamed Beast Mode finally opens up

Marshawn Lynch, with the minimum of effort, has attracted all the attention during Super Bowl week. The Seattle Seahawks star has delivered a series of repetitive one-liners to the press corp ahead of Super Bowl XLIX and, in doing so, garnered headlines the world over.

Lynch finally opened up in his third, and final, obligatory press briefing before the big game kicks off. He opined, ‘I mean all week, I done told y’all what’s up. And for some reason y’all continue to come back and do the same thing.

‘I don’t know what story y’all trying to get out of me. I don’t know what image y’all trying to portray of me, but it don’t matter what y’all think, what y’all say about me because when I go home at night, the same people that I look in the face – my family, that I love – that’s all that really matters to me.’

Worth the wait.

Lynch was a lot chattier with Conan O’Brien, however, as he took on the TV talk show host at Mortal Kombat:

Meanwhile, Katie Perry, who will be performing at the NFL extravaganza, beautifully handled one of the worst questions ever uttered at a Super Bowl, or any, press conference.

Asked, ‘You’re a single girl. Is there anybody you have your eye on this week?’, Perry responded with a tip of the hat to Lynch. ‘I’m just here so I don’t get fined,’ she remarked.
