Former NFL star slays lion that was killing family pets in his neighbourhood

Former NFL star Derek Wolfe has revealed how he hunted, and killed, a lion that was killing family pets in his local neighbourhood. Wolfe posed with the lion on Instagram, explaining that he had been asked to hunt the animal down after it had been 'wreaking havoc in a rural neighbourhood' in Colorado. The Super Bowl 50 winner explained that he used a bow and arrow to kill the lion before 'falling ten feet off a rock face' with the 195-pound carcass. He said: "*Predator Control*. Late Tuesday night I got a call from @huntnest to see if I wanted to stalk a giant Tom (male mountain lion) who has been wreaking havoc in a rural neighbourhood. He had already killed two of her dogs and was living under her porch, nervous what he might do next. Wolfe, who is a keen fisher and hunter, has regularly posed with pictures of his kills and his latest one has caused a stir, with people criticising the need to kill and pose with the lion.
