Manchester United's first team aren't exactly banging in the goals at the moment.
Louis van Vaal's men have only mustered 10 goals in their past 11 games in all competitions. But United's U21 side didn't seem to be suffering the same problem as the senior squad in a five-goal thriller against rivals Liverpool. Marouane Fellaini got a run out and scored United's first before forgotten man Nick Powell bagged a tap in off a rebound from the Belgian's shot. Liverpool clawed two goals back through Jerome Sinclair and Madger Gomes - the second following a howler from Sergio Romero. But with the tie deadlocked at 2-2, Fellaini teed up young team-mate Sean Goss on the 89th minute for a shot at the edge of the box. The 19-year-old midfielder, who earned a surprise call-up to Van Gaal's squad for the Watford game, finished with real class that belies his tender years.Explore more on these topics:
