West Ham may be about to make one of the better signings of the summer

West Ham really needs to shake things up after a disappointing season.
After moving into their new stadium, things didn't really go too well for them. There was that saga where Dimitri Payet decided to leave the club and ultimately a season that had so much promise ended up being one of underperformance. The Hammers finished 11th, a disimprovement from the seventh place finish a season prior. They struggled to find the net with their strikers Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho injury prone throughout the season and according to Sky Sports, they are prepared to table a bid for Manchester Cty's Kelechi Iheanacho.
The Nigerian is reportedly not part of Pep Guardiola's plans and the club will look for £20m for the 20-year-old.
Even with limited appearances, primarily coming off the bench, Iheanacho has impressed by scoring nine goals this season.
If the move is to materialise he will reunite with Pablo Zabaleta, who will officially sign with West Ham on 1 July upon the expiration of his contract with Manchester City.Explore more on these topics:
