West Ham fans claim owners have done more damage to East London than Hitler

West Ham United fans have criticised the club's ownership group with a banner claiming that David Sullivan (co-chairman and co-owner) David Gold (also co-chairman and co-owner) and Karren Brady (vice-chairman) have done more damage to East London than Adolf Hitler.

The Hammers slipped to a 4-1 win defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday which now leaves David Moyes' with just one win from their last six games. Tensions have escalated between fans and the ownership group over recent months after a race scandal involving the club's director of player recruitment Tony Henry, a number of failed transfer signings and last season's move to the London Stadium. The Hammers fans also planned commemorate club legend Bobby Moore who died 25 years ago this weekend, but the tribute was overshadowed by comparing the owners to Hitler, who ravaged East London during the Second World War with a sustained period of bombing over the area. Emre Can headed Liverpool ahead from a corner just before the half hour mark with Mohamed Salah then doubling the Reds advantage after the break with a low finish after an excellent pass from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Roberto Firmino then made it three after a mistake by goalkeeper Adrian before substitute Michail Antonio pulled one back for the Hammers with a fantastic strike.
