The pass, the cross, the finish, the beauty of it all.

Daryl Murphy has been banging them in for a struggling Nottingham Forest in the Championship, he's now banging them in for his country. He's scored six goals so far in 11 games in this year's Championship, he's five goals in his last six competitive games, four in his last four, the Waterford man is on fire. https://twitter.com/SportsJOEdotie/status/916380309482033157 It only took him 108 seconds to get into the groove against Moldova, as he made a nuisance out of himself to lash home an opener after some sloppy Moldovan defending. It was opportunistic centre forward play, it was the play of a centre forward who wasn't taking no for an answer, it was Daryl Murphy play. The second goal was even better, and we have our very own maestro Wes Hoolahan to thank for that. The little magician played a raking cross-field pass to a roaming Stephen Ward, the type of cross-field ball that few other Ireland players would have the eyes to even see, never-mind the audacity to attempt or execution to nail. Stephen Ward's cross was deep, but inviting, and the man with the stone head directed it beautifully out of the reach of the Moldovan goalkeeper. It was total football from Martin O'Neill's men. https://twitter.com/RTEsoccer/status/916380361986236416 Half-time. 2-0. Comfortable.
