Wes Hoolahan reveals decision over international future will be made soon

Wes Hoolahan he will make a decision over his international future after Euro 2016.

Hoolahan had to wait until June 2013 for his first competitive start for Ireland as then manager Giovanni Trapattoni finally bowed to popular pressure to hand him his chance. Since making his debut, Hoolahan has managed to break into the first team, and played a pivotal role in the successful Euro 2016 qualification campaign. However, at 33-years-old, Hoolahan knows he will have to make an important decision over his international career soon. In an interview with The Sun, he revealed he will make a call on his Ireland career after Euro 2016.

"There are a few senior players in the squad and I'm one of them. I'll be 34 by the time the Euros are played which means when the next World Cup comes around I am going to be 36." "I haven't really thought about whether I'll play on, but I will see how the summer goes and probably make a decision then. We're near the bottom and we have seven massive games to make ourselves safe, and I'm concentrating on that. "If I can help us stay up, then I can look forward to the Euros, if I'm picked."
