Pay up, Wayne.

Wayne Rooney lost a bet to Rory McIlory over the outcome of the super-bantamweight title bout between Scott Quigg and Carl Frampton on Saturday night. As Rooney's the Manchester United captain, and the fight was in Manchester, he unsurprisingly backed Bury-born boxer Quigg for the fight. https://twitter.com/WayneRooney/status/703653157772124160?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw And McIlroy was backing his fellow Northern Irishman, and eventual winner, Frampton. https://twitter.com/McIlroyRory/status/703656538930593797?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Despite Frampton being the favourite for the fight, and eventual winner in a relatively comfortable victory, Rooney was prepared to put his money where his mouth was and back Quigg. The United captain offered McIlroy a friendly wager. https://twitter.com/WayneRooney/status/703657825080311809?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw https://twitter.com/McIlroyRory/status/703659997734035456?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw And he subsequently lost.Carl Frampton v Scott Quigg - World Super-Bantamweight Title FightPay up Wayne. https://twitter.com/McIlroyRory/status/703730075917815808
