Wayne Rooney's equalling of Bobby Charlton's England goalscoring record was the major story from a facile win over San Marino, but even if he does set a new mark he is unlikely to hold it for long

Rooney opened the scoring against the Euro 2016 minnows with a penalty for his 49th international goal as England romped to a 6-0 win that sealed qualification to the next summer's finals. But the Manchester United man has some serious competition for the record as England's next goal saw Christian Stolli turn the ball into his own net, the 49th own goal scored for England. https://twitter.com/TimPeachBBC/status/640200682650398721 Rooney should be able to take sole possession of the lead, but something tells us OG will end up on top eventually.
