17-year-old Dubliner Troy Parrott started his second game for Spurs in the last week during the club's 2-1 loss to Manchester United on Thursday.
Parrott started alongside Harry Kane up front for Spurs and won more plaudits after impressing against Juventus on Sunday. The teenager nearly set up a goal for teammate Lucas Moura who failed to score after a save by David de Gea. https://twitter.com/LastWordOnSpurs/status/1154485449244545024 The recent departures of Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen from the club may open the door for Parrott in the first-team squad this season and Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino indicated that the Dubliner could make the jump to the senior squad sooner than expected."Today, yes, tomorrow, I don't know," said the Argentine as Spurs continue to look for another striker. "We’re working with the [young] players, trying to provide the best platform and possibility for them to perform and be comfortable with the first team. "He’s still so young but we’ll see what happens at the end of the transfer window. If we have the squad that we have today, of course he's going to have the possibility to be with the first team."
