The season's only just finished but Manchester United fans will be counting the days for the beginning of the 2015/16 campaign.
That's not just because they're eager to see what Louis van Gaal can get out of the side with a full pre-season at his disposal.
Another Dutchman will have the Old Trafford faithful drunk with anticipation for the opening day.
Memphis Depay closed out his season with a goal and assist over his last two games for PSV and that form has carried into the international friendlies where he did the very same, this time in the one game.
The 21-year-old played a starring role in the massively entertaining goalfest between the Netherlands and the U.S.A. last night and, despite their new winger being on the losing side, United supporters will be filled with hope as Depay scored one and set up another.
The assist led to the opening goal when Depay deftly created space and whipped in a picture-perfect cross that landed right on the head of Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
And after Huntelaar netted his second, Depay found the net himself after he got his head on a goalward shot from the Schalke forward. He may not have known a whole lot about it and Huntelaar will be raging that the youngster prevented his hat-trick but we're sure United fans are going to put this down to catlike reflexes and clinical finishing.
