Kevin Doyle marked his return from injury with a fine goal against Seattle Sounders on Saturday.
Doyle had been sidelined since suffering that stomach-churning gash on his leg ended his international return against Switzerland prematurely.
However, the striker had a stellar first game back during Colorado Rapids' 3-1 win against the Sounders.
The Wexford native sealed the win for his side by netting the final goal of the game with just five minutes left in normal time. Doyle got his toe on the end of an awkward cross and he managed to direct the ball straight past the opposition keeper.
The goal itself probably won't make any end of season compilations and there were suspicions of offside, but it is good to see Doyle back in action considering the last time we saw him on a football pitch he was being stretchered off in agony.
