Giovanni Trapattoni didn't get out of bed for this shite.
The former Italy and Ireland boss was on commentary duty last night and witnessed the Azzurri get buried 4-1 by Germany. Trap sat through 88 minutes of watching his beloved Italy getting taught a footballing lesson by the world champions. With Italy trailing 4-1, Stefano Okaka got hold of the ball and attempted to slide a pass in for Stephan El Shaarway. Ever the optimist - when it comes to teams other than Ireland - Trapattoni may have been hoping for an El Shaarway goal making it 4-2 and sparking a late, late comeback. OR, Trapattoni was just hoping for another goal to take the gloss off a chastening defeat. Either way, Okaka's dross pass was easily intercepted and forced Trapattoni into exclaiming 'Porca Puttana!'. That's 'f**king hell' to you and I. Passion never leaves you.
