How did he not see the striker?! Rafael da Silva hot the heavy boot from Old Trafford by Louis van Gaal. The Brazilian right back was good going forward and solid on his bright days. However, he always had a mistake in him and was almost certain to pick up eight needless yellow cards a season... and the odd red one. He is now six games into his new life at Lyon but not much seems to have changed. With 47 minutes gone in his side's clash with Montpellier, da Silva casually stroked a back-pass towards his goalkeeper without ever spotting striker Rodrigue Casimir Ninga. Anthony Lopes made a good initial save but could do nothing with the rebound.
Montpellier went on to win 4-2.
