Raul Meireles has the right idea - if you don't score often, make sure that when you do score it's a memorable one.
The former Chelsea and Liverpool midfielder packs a monstrous thunderbastard in his Arsenal and when the ball connects with that sweet spot just on his in-step, the results can be pretty amazing. Meireles managed to pull off a spectacular screamer for Fenerbahce against Sivasspor on Friday night. With his side trailing 2-1, the Portuguese player took hold of a loose ball 35 yards from goal, scooped it up to himself and cracked it on the volley. The keeper stood absolutely no chance of saving the shot which floated right into the corner of the net.
