Brentford were pushing for the winner until super-sub, Murphy, restored Newcastle's advantage with an excellent 79th minute glancing header after a ridiculous Ayoze Perez cross.

It now seems that Murphy's Newcastle career is finally beginning to take off after a somewhat frustrating start to life on Tyneside.
Murphy, a late summer signing from Ipswich Town, hasn't been a part of Rafa Bentiez's plans for most of the season mostly because of injury.
However, after earning a start and scoring a goal in last week's FA cup tie with Birmingham and scoring the winning goal for the Toon Army today, it looks like Murphy is delivering a timely reminder to Benitez on why he signed him in the first place.
