Javier Hernandez is finally getting his chance at first team football since his move from Manchester United to Bayer Leverkusen in the summer but we're still struggling to definitively say he's a top striker.
Chicharito's game-to-game reliability was always a concern for United fans and both sides of the 27-year-old's finishing skills were clear for all to see during Mexico's victory over the U.S.A. on Saturday night.
The striker opened the scoring against Jurgen Klinsmann's side after being teed up by Oribe Peralta in the box.
But shortly after, in the exact same scenario, Hernandez came up with a contender for miss of the season when he completely fluffed his lines by failing to get a touch on a similar squared pass.
While the miss was absolutely dreadful, Mexico didn't go on to rue it as Paul Aguilar saved the day with just two minutes of added time remaining in extra time via a delicious volley.
Perhaps Paulie could give the Little Pea some finishing lessons.
