El Gran Derbi, between Sevilla and Real Betis, is widely regarded as the best derby in Spain. The local rivalry between the Andalucian clubs creates a unique atmosphere, when fans are in the stadium, but this weekend it underwhelmed in an empty Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium. Sevilla clinched all three points thanks to Youssef El-Nesyri's brilliant finish from a ludicrously tight angle after rounding the goalkeeper, extending the gap between them and Betis to nine points. Elsewhere, Karim Benzema salvaged Real Madrid from an embarrassing loss to Elche with a brace that included one of the goals of the season so far: a left footed strike from outside the box after a one-two with Rodrygo.
