At this stage, you've just got to feel sorry for Abou Diaby.
The Frenchman became something of a punchline during his nine years at Arsenal as a succession of injuries limited him to just 125 appearances for the Gunners, including just two in his final two seasons in north London.
The club and player finally parted ways last summer in a bid to give Diaby a fresh, and hopefully healthy, start elsewhere.
But the 29-year-old has yet to make his debut for new club Marseille, and reports suggest a fresh injury setback will rule him out for the rest of this season.
Manager Michel has been unable to say when he expects to have the midfielder fit again, saying:
‘I would like to talk about his performance – this is not possible,’ he said. ‘I hope that this will happen one day, he deserves it.’
We know he's been very well compensated throughout his many spells on the sidelines, but have a look at this list of Diaby's various maladies and tell us you don't feel for the guy.
