The Bundesliga turned into bizarroworld for an evening as Bayern Munich left it late to secure the victory in their last match before the Christmas break.

We knew it was going to be a strange night when midfield maestro/goalkeeper Manuel Neuer had the tables turned on him by being nutmegged by a Mainz player to put the German champions 1-0 down after 21 minutes. Then Bastian Schweinsteiger thought he'd turn into David Beckham for a second by hammering this inch perfect free-kick into the top corner.   And it wasn't until the 90th minute that we saw something rarer than an unkempt Xabi Alonso when Arjen Robben fired home the winner with his right foot. Yeah, he actually has two feet. We were shocked too.
