We forget how spoilt we are in the Premier League with our fancypants technology.
The poor players in Serie A are still slumming it with blurry-eyed officials and Palermo fell victim to the inevitable human error this afternoon in their 1-1 draw with Sampdoria. With the tie level, Morganella let fly from the edge of the box and saw his shot clatter against the crossbar before clearly bouncing over the line. But the referee didn't have the highly sought after buzzing watch so didn't award the goal. The decision obviously got to some of the Rosanero as Andrea Fulignati let his frustration get the better of him and saw red just seven minutes later.
