What a way to end the year of international football for Martin O'Neill's men
While we had tonight pegged as a low-key game, in fact it produced lots for us to look forward to in 2015. Not only did debutants like Cyrus Christie and David McGoldrick prove more than up to the task, we also saw that Robbie Brady could be a very useful player to play at left back, mainly because he can do things like this.
Always blessed with bags of technique, the Hull man scored one fine goal in general play before he provided the coup de grace with this stunning free kick in the final few minutes.
We look forward to seeing a lot more of him, hopefully doing this, next year.
