VINE: Manchester United’s Throwback Thursday was more than a little bizarre

Usually, when football clubs publish a Vine or a photograph to mark the weekly social media nuisance known as "Throwback Thursday," they use something that their own team accomplished.
Not Manchester United, though, who oddly chose to include Juan Mata's goal against them as their #TBT yesterday. While this could be just some sort of unusual trend that United are looking to start, it's more than likely an early mind game against Chelsea. Chelsea sold their two-time player of the year Juan Mata to Manchester United in 2014 and this Vine could be the Red Devils' way of suggesting that the Blues made a mistake by getting rid of one of their impact players. Either way, the Mata narrative is one that we will be monitoring closely when Chelsea host third-placed United tomorrow evening.Explore more on these topics:
