Villarreal welcomed Eibar to El Madrigal for a La Liga clash on Sunday and were gifted the lead courtesy of a howler by the visitor's goalkeeper. Irureta was the man between the posts for Eibar and he will know that he was largely to blame for the opening goal. Vietto collected a wonderfully weighted pass from Giovani before blasting a driven effort straight at the shotstopper. Irureta must have lost his focus for a split second because he let the poorly placed shot slip through his hands and could only watch as the ball trickled excruciatingly slowly over the goal line. What should have been a fairly routine save turned into a disaster for the number one.
