The former illustrated man of the Premier League bagged a beauty on Monday evening
Former Chelsea and Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles found the net with a magnificent effort for Fenerbache in their Turkish top flight clash against Akhisar last night.
The 31-year-old tattoo enthusiast fired in a beautifully-struck half-volley from the edge of the box in the 41st minute. The Portuguese-born player's outstanding strike went flying past the goalkeeper into the top right corner of the net.
Unfortunately for Fenerbache, Meireles' wondergoal could not spare them from slumping to a demoralisng 2-1 home defeat to Akhisar. The loss has put a massive dent in their title aspirations this season.
