The Liverpool boss was in buoyant mood in Turkey tonight pre-kick off and he was having a good laugh with the reporter - okay, he was having a good laugh with himself TO the reporter.
Asked about the penalty drama which has surrounded his team from last week's first leg win at Anfield, Rodgers came back with a quick-witted reply.
Well, he thought it was good anyway.
"Oh, I don't know. A little thing called morale..." as Mr Brent would put it himself.
In fairness, he couldn't have known that fate would play a cruel trick on him and send Liverpool out on penalties but it just makes it funnier for us.
