A bad night ended on a low note

After coming so close to, but ultimately falling short of, pulling off a remarkable comeback against Basel tonight, Liverpool limped out of the Champions League and into the Europa League. We don't know which fate is worse. However, to cap off a terrible night, Brendan Rodgers was left hanging when he went for a post-match handshake, before heading off down the Anfield tunnel.
