Okay, he didn't snap his leg, he wasn't wrongly sent off or, heck, he was not spat on.
Jesus, spitters should be banned for life. Anyway, Dele Alli was still left cursing his rotten bad luck when the woodwork denied him not once, but twice, during Tottenham Hotspur's FA Cup defeat on Sunday. Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace barged their way into the FA Cup quarter final and freed up Mauricio Pochettino's men to focus solely on the league with just 12 games remaining. And the Europa League too but whatever. But their star midfielder was let down when, at 0-0, he hit the inside of both posts and somehow let Palace off the hook. Dele Alli thought he had gotten lucky initially when his effort deflected off Joe Ledley and seemingly into the bottom corner but the ball clipped the inside of the post, bounced teasingly across the line, hit the other post and somehow came back out.
