Aston Villa fans haven't generally had a lot to sing about in recent times but when they get a sniff of something, they go to town. Last year, their FA Cup run lit up an otherwise dull league season but so, too, did a certain Christian Benteke. Step forward, Rudy Gestede. The summer signing won over Villa Park on Tuesday night with his first home goal for the club against none other than bitter rivals Birmingham City. Tim Sherwood's men advanced in the League Cup with a 1-0 victory in the second city derby and, thanks to Gestede, they've put behind them a bad run against midlands opposition.
