It was never going to happen, was it?

There was no point in having even a modicum of faith that good could overcome Blatter but that didn't prevent us from being a little bit disappointed when Prince Ali bin al-Hussein conceded defeat this evening. The Jordanian candidate was Blatter's only challenger as the world crossed every bit of its metaphorical body that we would see a change at the helm of Fifa.
