It counts, but we'd argue that it was so bad it shouldn't...
Every body likes wonder goals, such as lavaro Recoba's free kick at the weekend, but there is a certain ugly charm to the scrappier goals too.
The very best of this misbegotten genre involve total incompetence by both sides, numerous near-misses and the burning the desire to look away the quality of play is so bad. This effort, from Argentina, qualifies on all three counts.
The game, between Lanus and Arsenal, was quite a controversial one. With Lanus trailing 2-1, the team managed to equalise in the last miniute of what was the scheduled five minutes of added time.
But the scrappy winner they nabbed below came in the 10th minute of added time. As you might imagine Arsenal went mad, the referee, Andres Merlos, has been suspended and the row over the game rumbles on.
Still, at least it left us with this top class bit of rubbish football.
