VIDEO: Paul Scholes remains adamant that United can win the Champions League this season

United are undoubtedly on the way back to form since David Moyes accidentally broke them.

But there's clearly a rebuilding process at play as Louis van Gaal attempts to improve on last season's fourth placed finish in the league. The Red Devils are in the driving seat to make it to the group stage of this season's Champions League after a 3-1 first leg victory over Club Brugge.

And ahead of kick-off in tonight's away leg, BT Sport pundit Paul Scholes made a pretty bold claim about his former side.

"We're probably the only club who can go on to win it from the qualifying stage. "It's a big club. This club without a doubt can go on to win this competition. "There are some great teams - Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid - some great teams to get past but with a little bit more business in the next couple of weeks, who knows?"

We're all for ambition but let's all calm down a little bit.
