The Belgian second division produced an outrageous wonder goal over the weekend.
AS Eupen’s Victor Curto Ortiz was picked out with a wonderfully weighted corner at the edge of the Racing Mechelen box. Ortiz caught the cross right on the sweet-spot of his instep and smashed in what can only be described as an absolute thunderbastard of a volley. The Mechelen goalkeeper could only watch as the ball went crashing into the top corner of the net.

The goal was reminiscent of one of the greats scored by former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes against Aston Villa. Mind you, Scholesy's celebration was a little bit more reserved and considerably less acrobatic than his Belgian second division counterpart.
