We already know that Brazilian forward Pato isn't getting paid a fortune by footballing standards during his loan move to Chelsea, so what attracted him to a side struggling in the bottom half of the Premier League?
Well according to the man himself, it was the fans. More specifically those online who made him feel wanted via his social media accounts.
Speaking to Chelsea TV, the 26-year-old (yes we thought he was older too), explained that the warm messages of adulation from the #ChelseaFamily really meant a lot to him when mulling over a move.
"When I go to my social media, I saw the fans for Chelsea saying 'Welcome to Chelsea', 'Come to Chelsea' - this for me is special...I am here just to make my dream, just to play."
Just do the business on the field, Pato mate, otherwise you might be receiving slightly different notifications...
